Megan was relocating soon from Phoenix to her new home out of state. She reached out to me to photograph her bridal bouquet from her wedding 8 years ago, as she had it tucked away in a box all this time and felt, with the move, it was time to minimize the things of the household to make the move easier, and all the other things that minimizing does. She felt torn parting with it; she didn't just want to throw it away. She felt that was not the best way to honor such a special arrangement of flowers.
Since her bouquet arrived previously dried and well taken care of we considered it an archival project. I didn't really have a vision for this one! So, I went ahead and I photographed it whole in a variety of different ways on the dark and the light backgrounds, from all the sides, from the top down, etc. Then, I carefully deconstructed it and just as carefully, photographed all the bits and pieces in different artistic ways. As she clearly loved the white roses, I made certain to spotlight them in both beautiful and artistic ways for her.
When she moves into her new home and settles in, she'll be so happy with the fine art prints that will surround her with the special memories of her wedding day and it's sentiments.
Let's start with an inspiring video of her special flowers!
